The Ladies Ride

Cheryl got winged at the Soiled Dove ranch,
though she said she could not blame her horse.

She tried to land well, thinkin', 'Oh, what the hell,"
but came down with a bit too much force.

And her leg started bend'n,
which triggered some tendon,
to stretch out a little too far.

So instead of a whirl round the ranch with the girls,
it was hobble out to the E.R.

Now the fortunate thing,
when you've damaged a wing
at the Soiled Dove Ranch in a fall.

Is Gretchen will find you an xray contraption
now that she knows how to find the hos-pit-tall.

And Margie has bandages, crutches and braces
to fix you and make you feel spry.

Plus she will advise as to which doc should cut you
and who does the best MRI.

And the ladies who roost at the ranch there will boost
your poor spirits as high as they'll go.

That means Mary will feed you and Sunny will see
that you don't have a chance to feel low.

And Terry will share how her recent horse scare
left her wiser and better by far.

Though she's secretly thinkin' that given your wound
she'll be back ridin' long 'for you are.

Then there's Barbara who cares and then Catherine who's there
when there's something you needed to ask her.

While Claudia's thinkin' this could be much worse
cause at least we're not up in Alaska.

Yes Sandy took in the whole thing with a grin,
we believe Joan was not the least vexed.

Cause the care at the Soiled Dove Ranch is first rate
and besides anyone could be next.

So you cowgirls who gather to ride with the ladies,
this thought I will hope you endorse.

These social occasions are great grand affairs
but its best if you stay on your horse.
